Let's start with Christmas Eve

Ooops has 5 days already passed since Christmas? My bad.

I am just now recovering from my turkey coma.

Let's get up to date shall we?

We had a wonderful and white Christmas. Chris has two weeks off so we have been enjoying him home all day long. Sophia is going to go into shock once daddy has to go back to work.

We spent Christmas Eve over at Auntie Sara and Uncle Dave's house.

Auntie Sara is a culinary genius and we dined on fabulous appetizers all night long!

Here are the pics from Christmas Eve!

We are having soooo much fun!!

Having a merry old time laughing at daddy's juggling skills!

Making daddy juggle ALL the oranges!

Sophia wearing her pretty handmade gifts from Auntie Sara! Sara is also a creative genius and made Sophia this chic robe and matching pillow and blankie!

"The Filipino Cutie" as dubbed by Uncle Dave

Attempt at a family photo!

Check in later for Christmas Day photos!

See you next year!!! That joke never gets old.

Mommy's Got A Brand New Bag!

Meet my new sewing area...

Here is the cute mod podged box I made full of my new sewing notions...
(I am addicted to mod podge! I even modpodged my garbage pail for my sewing area!)

Here are my cute buttons...
And here is the start of my first project!
(I bought the Amy Butler pattern at a quilt shop. I purchased the stack of fabric from the Walmart sewing bin for under $1o!)
And with much, much help from my talented sister Sara here is the finished project!!....

Oh my gosh isn't it so cute!!
We altered it a bit to fit my needs and to simplify the pattern. The pattern was not an easy first project!! I could have never been able to accomplish this without my sister's help! *my sister says that I did a great job!! - i'm just saying.

I found this cute felt flower at Walmart, who knew?
Do you love the ruffle edge on the front pocket? I do. Just one of our alterations on the pattern!

We added inside pockets including one for my blackberry!
It is the ideal diaper bag!!

Thank you Sara for all your help!!
We have been sewing non stop for the last two days!

And in the words of Jo March "I could never love anyone more than I love my sisters"

Last Christmas...

Your stocking was bigger than you

You cuddled for hours

You let us put ridiculous antlers on your head

I wonder what this year will bring?

Gingerbread Goodness

I made gingerbread men a couple days ago.

They are my husbands favorite Christmas cookies.

And now they are Sophia's too!

Love at first taste!
more please....

I said more please!!

Gotta wash it down with some milk!!

*On a side note do you like Sophia's jedi pants? That's what we call them and then we realized she also has some Luke Skywalker hair going on.

Chris is so proud and wants her to wear her jedi pants all the time.

So my question to you is...should I cut Sophia's bangs again or let her hair grow out au naturel?

I know BIG decisions going on over here.

Snow

"I'll soon be there with snow
I'll wash my hair with snow
And with a spade of snow
I'll build a man that's made of snow
I'd love to stay up with you but I recommend a little shuteye
Go to sleep
And dream
Of snow, snow, snow, snow, snow"

That is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs from the movie 'White Christmas'.

That is the song I sang today for Sophia while we played in the snow.

Well tried to play in the snow...someone didn't really like the white stuff!!

But she looked cute trying!
Miss Grumpy...

Classic "oooh" face...

Give kisses!

Still being a grumpster...

"ooooh"

"uh oh" the snow touched her face...

and we were done for the day...

Love you my little snow angel!

Smarty Pants - 13.5 months

*Points to her nose, my eyes, dolls eyes when asked "where's the dolls eyes?" etc..

*Will also bat her eyelashes when asked where her eyes are..cutest thing ever!

*Says "Jigeee" or "Hi Jigee" when she sees Lilly our cat! (It took me a while to realize what she was saying. Then all of a sudden I was like she has been trying to say Lilly all this time...how cute are you!!)

*When I am unloading or loading the dishwasher she goes and grabs her alphabet magnets from the fridge and starts putting them in the dishwasher..such a good helper!

*Starts to growl when she plays with her little Polar bear toy..so cute!

*Pats her belly when I say "belly, belly, belly"

*Flushes the toilet...haha

*Tries to put on her own shoes

*Loves to put things inside of things... including herself, loves to sit in her toy box.

*Plays with Tupperware and puts a spoon inside and pretends to stir...so smart!

*Always has to brush her own hair when I bring out the brush...such a girlie girl!

*Knows how to climb backwards off of the couch..hooray!

*Likes to sneakily lift up my shirt and point at my stomach...lovely!

*Opens her mouth and lets me floss her teeth...yet hates her teeth being brushed...go figure!

*Brings me toys when I ask her to "bring that to mommy"...so obedient!

*Knows when she is doing something naughty, looks busted when I catch her and will try to give me her innocent face...think puss in boots!

*Will steal a toy from her friend Alex and try to run away with it so fast that she trips and falls...shouldn't be laughing but we laugh so hard at this one!

*Loves the Christmas tree and stands in front of it and says "oooohh"... I never get enough of that!

There are so many things you do every day that bring me smiles and new things daily that surprise me.

Even though we are going through some rough teething days these are the things that make each day even more special and make me so happy to be your momma!

Escaping with Grampa Bob's hat...

Mommy embelished it...haha...

Doesn't want to wear Grampa Bob's hat anymore!...

How To Gain Weight

* Buy Company's Coming Cookbooks and make all the casseroles that involve potatoes, cheese, and cream sauces

* Stop drinking Diet Pepsi and switch to regular Pepsi because you read a very scary email telling you all about deadly aspartame.

*Make macaroni and cheese made with homo milk and cheese for Sophia and eat what she doesn't eat and then some.

*Avoid full length mirrors

*Become addicted to Winter White Oreos and Mint Chocolate covered Oreos...oh.my.god.so.good

*Eat when you are stressed/bored/happy or any other emotion

*Don't exercise because it is so windy and cold outside

*Drink a Slimfast in good attempts to eat less then become so hungry you eat a whole other lunch on top of it

*Wear stretchy pants all day so you don't realize your jeans no longer fit

Yup that about sums it up...and why I almost had a heart attack when I casually stepped on the scale today.

It's Begining To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

Last night we set up our Christmas tree!

We bought a fake tree this year... gasp, shock, horror!!

Gina will you ever forgive us?

We had lots of fun trimming the tree.

Christmas music was played and hot chocolate was drank.

Sophia was a very good little helper!

Trimming the tree....
I can't believe she sat still for this pic!...

No more pictures, I'm running away!...
