Meet my new sewing area...
Here is the cute mod podged box I made full of my new sewing notions...
(I am addicted to mod podge! I even modpodged my garbage pail for my sewing area!)
Here are my cute buttons...
And here is the start of my first project!
(I bought the Amy Butler pattern at a quilt shop. I purchased the stack of fabric from the Walmart sewing bin for under $1o!)
And with much, much help from my talented sister Sara here is the finished project!!....
Oh my gosh isn't it so cute!!
We altered it a bit to fit my needs and to simplify the pattern. The pattern was not an easy first project!! I could have never been able to accomplish this without my sister's help! *my sister says that I did a great job!! - i'm just saying.
I found this cute felt flower at Walmart, who knew?
Do you love the ruffle edge on the front pocket? I do. Just one of our alterations on the pattern!

sewing must be in your blood...Your mom's blood that is. Good job girls and keep the creativity a coming. Your dad is proud of all of you.
So cute! I love the buttons too. I'm so jealous that you know how to sew. I really want to learn but it just seems so intimidating to me. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
