Adventures In Sippy Cups

Yesterday I gave Sophia her first sippy cup to discover.

Is this a new toy?

Is this BPA safe mom?

Getting there...

That's the ticket...

Not that she actually tipped it back to drink but we are gonna get there! I went and bought her a mini sippy cup today which I think will aid in the learning curve. She has never even been interested in holding her own bottle so we will keep our fingers crossed.

And in completely unrelated news here is a cute clip of Sophia after her morning nap. I wanted to capture her sheer joy of waking up. Unfortunately I think the camera interfered with her true excitement upon seeing me. I am going to tell myself this anyways.

My Husband Is A Genius

Christopher you rock the kasbah!

Chris spent all evening guiding me through photoshop and helping me make my new layout. He has so much patience! I think it turned out lovely and I could NOT have done it without you!

So my loyal legions do you like it??

I have discovered this thing called digital scrapbooking. I think it may be a new obsession once I can figure out how to actually work with it without the aid of Chris right next to me. I love scrapbooking and have somewhat neglected it since starting this blog. Exciting stuff I know.

I am going to bed. If this post makes no sense I apologize. Mommy needs some shut eye!

New photos of Sophia to come tomorrow promise!!

Bling Is A Good Thing

I am so honored to have received my first blog award from my new sista friend Amanda

Thank you so much!

I would like to thank my baby girl for giving me my inspiration, my laptop who may be old but is always there for me, my camera who is more advanced than me but never makes me feel less of a photographer, and of course to Amanda for giving me the honer of being her bloggy friend.

Tantrums and Tiaras

Is it too young for an almost 7 month old to throw temper tantrums?? The last couple days Sophia has been testing out this new form of expression. As soon as I start to dress her or change her diaper or if she is simply bored with a toy she throws a hissy fit. Her face goes beat red and cries a 'life is so unfair' cry. She usually stops within a minute or so after I distract her with something exciting like my hoodie string. It kills me that she goes from such an intense cry to a peaceful angelic baby within seconds. It is somewhat humorous. I hope this phase is a short one. I thought tantrums didn't occur until later in life I guess I was naive in thinking that.

"I don't know what you are talking about mommy. I am always a sweet angel baby!" - Sophia

6 Random UninterestingThings About Me

I was tagged by my new awesome bloggy friend Amanda to do a little meme.

So here are 6 random uninteresting things about me....

1. I had no idea what a meme was until about two minutes ago.

2. I had chicken pox when I was 25 years old. It sucked. However this is when I watched all of the Sex And The City episodes on DVD. Very productive.

3. I secretly want to look like Katie Holmes.

4. I sing songs from Little Mermaid and Annie to Sophia. These are the only songs I know all the words to and therefore make me sound like a professional.

5. I play with my eyelashes when I am nervous, anxious, bored or thinking. Almost any scenario I play with them. I hate that I do it. In fact I did it while thinking of what uninteresting facts to write.

6. I get insomnia badly. I always have the best ideas in the middle of the night. I am exhilarated by my new plans for life. Then I wake up and am too tired to actually tackle any of my new plans. And usually my plans are a little loopy since I thought of them in the middle of the night.

So there you go that is my first meme.

Now I am supposed to tag 6 other bloggers to play the game BUT unfortunately I only know one blogger friend and she is the one who tagged me. So all my party people out there you should start a blog so one day I can tag you and I will look cool because I will know more than one person.
